Dear 15 year old me,
last week you celebrated yours 25th birthday , it has been a decade and a lot has changed. First and foremost you are fat, yes your childhood dream has come true . The secret of being fat had always been cheese , butter, potatoes etc , the kind of food mumma told you keep away from. However as you might have know it's not fun , I loathe it and most women find it unattractive. While we are on that topic and I know that it makes you nervous , there is nothing to be afraid of , women are harmless (mostly .. ) , they are weird and react quite irrationally, however some of your best friends are women but you have still not found the one.
I will have you noted that building Iron Man was not that bad a idea , you graduated in physics (don't worry we cleared JEE, long story !), you did lasers till very recently and you figured out that theoretically it was very much possible to build the arc reactor . However we had to leave it for the greed of money and love of computers. On the brighter side Iron Man has become a famous franchise which boasts 5 full budget Hollywood movies which were all "rad" .
I play a lot of video games , nobody stops me and I have enough money to spare for it. They have come a long way , they are no more the cartoons having 256 bit color and monotonic music , they look almost real and the good ones need some skill. Mortal Kombat is still around and it's still evolving. As a matter of fact you worked for a "gaming" company for some time, but it was not that cool as you might have thought.
South Indian is still among my favorite cuisines . Although I have come to admire Punjabi and Bengali food more than I ever liked south Indian , dosa still tops my chart. You have learned to cook as well , while you were travelling abroad and ran out of maggi and sattu. Yes !! you travelled abroad , it was frightening and exciting . No, you didn't go to the casino , Yes, you had hot-dog and turned non vegetarian. As a matter of fact most of the food err animals you found cute are actually quite tasty ;) .
You still don't play any physical games , never did . You joined NCC but frustrated the shit out of your commanding officer with your laziness. Funny story , you fired a SLR and a shotgun , didn't get a single round on target . You have developed interest in photography and as always now that you have your own computer you love to goof around it.
You are really going to be proud of the taste of music you have developed , however you almost nauseated your roommates and neighbors by playing crappy music over and over again in college . You have made some really good friends , most of them are geeks but all of them are good human beings.
Summing up, it has been a great journey till now , thanks for working so hard to build a foundation on which we stand today . I still remember you walking kilometers getting late for school , unkempt but focused , I envy you . BTW I still have a cycle ( you can get a scooty for it's cost but I still haven't learned to drive ) . Everything is fine at home , rather our home is now a house we own and they say it's beautiful. You now live in a city called Hyderabad far from home and that is perhaps your only regret ....
